The Truth About Greed and Betrayal: Lessons From Real Life

About two decades ago, during a dry season while fishing at a calm side of the River Benue, I met a a gentle-looking guy, about my age grade.

We chatted as we both had a good catch despite a loud laughter at interval.

Over time, we discovered we had a lot in common.

We started a small business together, as I believed we shared the same dream.

We laughed, planned, and worked late nights with so much hope.

Couple of months later, the business was doing very well, Then I decided to travel out of the geographical region to attend to a crucial family issue as we agreed he takes good charge of the business till I rejoin him.

I returned but discovered he had secretly taken the money we both worked for and walked away to start his own venture.

It wasn’t just the money that broke me. It was the betrayal. It felt like a knife to my back from the very hand I once held.

"Oh! even my own friend" I cried in pain.

For weeks, I battled anger and bitterness.

But as time passed, I realized something important: greed and betrayal are two sides of the same coin, and they carry lessons that can make us wiser if we allow them.

For you to be Safe and secure all round, can we learn from the hard, bitter experience?
